BRAY WANDERERS finished their season in style as they made it a three straight wins in a row when seeing off the challenge of Dundalk in a close encounter at the Carlisle Grounds. Dean Zambra's second half decided the game. The Seagulls had an early chance when midfielder Gary Dempsey put 40 year-old veteran skipper Colm Tresson clear on the right. But his cross shot was just wide of the target with Kieran Waters unable to apply the vital finishing touch. Dundalk then went close when first Greg Bolger and Keith Ward combined nicely to set up a chance for Cian Breen only to be denied by Bray 'keeper Brian Kane. Then Breen headed over the top after a Ross Gaynor cross from the left. Bray should really have opened the score on 28 minutes when Waters dispossessed Bolger to play the ball through for defender Adam Mitchell who charged through the Dundalk defence only to blaze his final effort over the bar. Defender Dane Massey then got in behind defender Simon Madden on the left only to see his shot well pushed away by Dundalk 'keeper Peter Cherrie. Bray got their noses in front on 50 minutes when a low cross from Waters on the left was slotted home at the near post by midfielder Zambra. Straight from the kick-off 'keeper Kane came to the home side's rescue when brilliantly pushing over a looping Mark Quigley effort which had taken a wicked deflection off defender Adam Mitchell. Substitute Jason Byrne went close to setting up an equaliser for Dundalk on 70 minutes when his cross from the right enabled Keith Ward to get in a close range effort brilliantly pushed over by the alert Kane.
