MONAGHAN UNITED had Brennan brothers Sean and Ryan sent off as Cork City's convincing win at Turner’s Cross saw them leapfrog Roddy Collins' side up to second in the First Division table.
Cork had the dream start of the lead after two minutes when Graham Cummins and Daryl Horgan combined to set up Shane Duggan whose shot deflected past Gabriel Sava.
Cummins doubled City’s lead just past the half-hour mark when racing from the halfway line to fire into the bottom corner for a terrific solo goal.
Vinny Sullivan made it 3-0 on 67 minutes before Willo McDonagh pulled a goal back for Moanghan three minutes later.
A bad tackle on Duggan in the 79th minute saw Sean Brennan dismissed before brother Ryan followed two minutes from time for a second booking.Â
