Futsal League
Tuesday, 24 February 2009 14:49
The Futsal League of Ireland League was created in 2007, when eight clubs competed in the inaugural tournament which was eventually won by Shamrock Rovers.

In 2008, the Futsal League grew to incorporate 15 clubs. St. Patrick's Athletic (pictured right) were crowned the 2008 eircom Futsal League of Ireland champions.

The Futsal League has proven extremely popular with players and clubs. The chief benefit of the league is what it can offer in terms of player development. Young players can learn great technique from playing Futsal, with close control, short passing and the ability to beat players all featuring strongly in the game.

For supporters, Futsal offers great entertainment!
