Sligo Rovers took their goal tally to 17 in their last three home games after a 5-1 demolition of bottom club Bray at The Showgrounds.

Top-scorer Padraig Amond rose his tally to 12 for the season with a brace as Rovers led 4-0 at the break. And a first goal for the club for both John Russell and Joseph Ndo crowned a superb display from the home team.

Rovers took just nine minutes to open the scoring. Daire Doyle hesitated in clearing from a Rovers corner, and Amond nipped in behind to steal possession and fire home.

Bray came into the game after this, with Jake Kelly impressing on the left, and Chris Shields forcing Richard Brush into a close-range save.

But the home side doubled their lead on 22 minutes, when Dillon's pass released Doyle, who calmly lifted the ball over Brian Kane and into the net.

The third arrived five minutes before the break, when Russell buried a left-foot shot in the corner of the net.

And Amond claimed the fourth just before the break with another clinical finish after Doyle had headed the ball into his path.

Kane though was left stranded once again seven minutes into the second half, when Ndo tapped home from close range.

John Mulroy did get a deserved consolation goal for Bray in the final minute, when he fired the rebound to the net after Brush had saved Jake Kelly's initial effort.
