FOLLOWING their win over Bohemians on Friday, Dundalk were brought crashing down to earth by bottom of the table Bray Wanderers at Oriel Park last night.

Robbie Doyle's stoppage time winner secured the Seagulls their first win of what has been a difficult season to date. The former Dundalk striker took control of the influential Jake Kelly's pass to steer the ball inside Peter Cherrie's post to silence the home crowd.

Dundalk took just three minutes to establish a lead. Ross Gaynor delivered a pacey free from the right and Liam Burns was on hand to guide the ball home from six-yards.

Eddie Gormley's side stunned Oriel Park with an equaliser after 34 minutes, Jake Kelly went down under the attentions of full-back Shaun Kelly and the Bray substitute sent Cherrie the wrong with a coolly taken penalty.

Dundalk restored their lead seven minutes later. Gaynor – a constant threat on the left – cut in and picked out Johnny Breen, this time the youngster steered the ball wide of Kane but they were pegged back again in first-half stoppage time when Kelly showed great control to take a Zambra pass down to smack the ball home.

The basement side enjoyed the better of the second-half. Robbie Doyle went close with a left footed effort that just looped over Cherrie's bar while Kelly was denied a hat-trick by the goalkeeper after brilliantly spinning away from Garry Breen.

An almighty scramble in the 78th minute saw Cherrie again come to Dundalk's rescue as he pulled off two fantastic blocks to deny Kelly and Shane O'Connor.

A frustrated Dundalk did have the ball in the net after 81 minutes when Tiarnan Mulvenna headed home after Neale Fenn's shot had crashed off the bar but the goal was ruled out for offside.
