Bohemians went three points clear at the top of the Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Galway United at Dalymount Park. With title rivals Cork City having slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Drogheda United, the Gypsies go three points clear of the Leesiders.

Ken Oman and Jason Byrne struck for the home side in the second half to condemn Galway United to defeat.

It took 73 minutes for Bohemians to break-down their visitors, Oman heading Paul Keegan's corner kick past Barry Ryan in the Galway goal.

The home side made sure of the points with one minute of time left when Jason Byrne converted a penalty after Glen Cronin had been taken down in the penalty area.
