A goal from Stephen Mulcahy edged First Division leaders Cork City into the next round as they finished with ten men at Ferrycarrig Park.

 

 

Right-back Mulcahy arrived to meet Gearoid Morrissey's well flighted corner to head home the game's only goal ten minutes into the second half.

 

Left-back Danny Murphy was shown a straight red card on 87 minute for dissent towards referee James McKell.
