The draw for the newly revamped Setanta Sports Cup of 2011 took place in the Belfast City Hall on Monday and it's thrown up some very interesting ties - not least the clash of Dundalk and Linfield.  The competition, which has been expanded to include 12 sides and which starts in February, will be run as a knockout competition from the very start.  As well as the afore-mentioned meeting of Dundalk and Linfield, the opening phase of the cup will see Sporting Fingal take on Setanta Cup debutants Lisburn Distillery, St Pat's will meet Cliftonville, and Bohs will take on Portadown.  As seeded teams, Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers, Crusaders and Glentoran will all join proceedings at the quarter-final stage.  The first legs of the opening round games will take place on 14 February and 21 February with the second legs on 28 February and 1 March.  The full first round draw is as follows: Linfield v Dundalk Bohemians v Portadown Cliftonville v St Patrick's Athletic Sporting Fingal v Lisburn Distillery  |
