PAUL DANAHER'S First Half goal secured a 1-0 win for Athlone Town in a re-arranged tie against Finn Harps. Athlone Town  1  Finn Harps 0 A first half goal from Paul Danahar earned Athlone a second successive win as Finn Harps' poor start to the season continued at Lisseywoollen.
The only goal of the game came on 36 minutes and was superbly contrived and expertly finished.
Kevin Williamson's delivery from a corner was perfect for the arrival of defender Danaher who powered his header past Harps' keeper Ciaran Gallagher.
