Longford got their biggest win of the season at Drom as Salthill finished bottom of the table in their first season in the league.
Mark Salmon put Town in front from a 33rd minute penalty after Bragos Barbu had fouled Lee Roche.
Cathal Brady added a second eleven minutes after the break before an own goal by Paddy Quinlan ended the game as a contest four minutes later.
Peter Hynes got Town's fourth on 88 minutes before James Whelan scored Devon's consolation goal a minute later.
