Mark Farren ensured Derry City bounced straight back to the Premier Division as First Division champions with the only goal of the night at Gortakeegan.   Despite their defeat, Monaghan, who pressed Derry hardest of all in the second half of the campaign, have the consolation of a play-off away to Waterford United on Tuesday night.   The only goal of the game came on 81 minutes when the Monaghan defence fell asleep as Farren lost his marker to tap the ball past Gabriel following a corner. |
