John Lester’s late equaliser deprived Mervue a second win over Longford this season.
Central defender Lester struck ten minutes from time as he forced home Mike Lee’s corner as Town had to settle for a point.
Eric Browne availed of bad defending to fire Mervue in front on 19 minutes.
Town struck back ten minutes later when Thomas Hyland beat Ger Hanley from range with a stunning strike.
Mervue regained the lead on 68 minutes. Town keeper Stephen Conlon made another unfortunate mistake and James Casserley pounced to score.
