Cork finished with ten men as they beat Mervue United 2-1 at Turner's Cross.

Goals from topscorer Graham Cummins and Gavin Kavanagh had City 2-0 up inside seven minutes.

Cummins finished off a Gareth Cambridge cross for the lead in the fourth minute with Cummins then flicking on a cross from Shane Duggan for Kavanagh to double the lead.

City midfielder Duggan was sent off on the hour for a second booking with Barry McEntee getting Mervue's goal two minutes from time.
