Derry blitzed Waterford with two goals in as many minutes to win the top of the table clash at the Brandywell and move seven points clear at the top of the summit.
It was Derry's ninth win in an 11-match unbeaten run stretching back to their only defeat of the season at Waterford in mid-March. Mark Farren opened the scoring when finishing off a cross to give Blues' keeper Chris Konopka no chance after 18 minutes. Just over a minute later, central defender Mark McChrystal added a second. |
