Monaghan United got back to winning ways to move up to fourth place with a 3-0 victory at struggling Longford Town.

Karl Bermingham headed home Stefan McKevitt's cross for the lead goal on 17 minutes.

Barry Clancy, on the hour mark, and Philly Hughes ten minutes from time earned Mick Cooke's side their fifth win in eight games.
