Waterford has a proud history in the League of Ireland, dating back to their entry into the league in 1930. The late 1960s / early 1970s will always be remembered as the club’s ‘golden period’, with the league title being brought to the south-east on six occasions.
Originally known simply as Waterford, the club was renamed Waterford United in 1983. The club plays in the RSC stadium. |
