| Saturday, 17 April 2010 22:35 |
|
A late Cathal Brady goal ended Longford's four match losing streak as they won for the first time since the opening weekend of the season. Defender Chris Deans head Town in front from John Lester’s corner five minutes into the second half. Mervue levelled on 69 minutes when Eric Browne’s longragne shot was adjudged to have been bounced over the line by Town keeper Aaron Shanahan. But Brady sealed Town’s win five minutes from time when firing home from eight yards following JP McDonagh’s cross. |
