Goals from Patrick McEleney, David McDaid and Ruairi Harkin gave Derry their biggest win of the season to move up to third in the table. McEleney pounced on a poor clearance from Philip Byrne to rifle Derry in front from just outside the box on 25 minutes. Derry added a second against the run of play eight minutes after the break when Emmet Friars set-up McDaid who lobbed Aaron Shanahan. Harkin added the third on 77 minutes with Fiachra McArdle getting Town‘s consolation strike five minutes from time. |
