Shane Duggan scored a hat-trick as Cork City got their first win of the season.

Graham Cummins headed home Davin O’Neill’s cross to put City in front on 18 minutes.

However, poor defending from a corner saw Eric Browne head Mervue level seven minutes later.

Duggan rifled home left-footed to get his first on 54 minutes to put City back in front.

Mervue then had Ollie Keogh sent off for dissent minutes later with Duggan getting his second of the night on 69 minutes.

Enda Curran got a goal back for battling Mervue in the 81st minute, but Duggan had the final say to seal the
