Year founded: 2002 Year of entry to the League of Ireland: 2002 Home ground: Station Road, Newbridge | General Information | Kildare County were founded in 2002 and played their debut season in the eircom League of Ireland in 2002-03, finishing in 5th place. The club was the brainchild of people who had been heavily involved junior football in the county for many years. The club represents the county’s first attempt at senior football, and they hope to grow over the coming years. The club’s highest finish to date was their 4th place finish in 2004.
