Liam Kearney scored against his former club in the game of the night at the RSC to maintain Waterford's 100% record and move them three points clear at the top of the table. The only goal of the game arrived on 12 minutes when Willie John Kiely’s flick set up Vinny Sullivan who shot off a post and winger Kearney was on hand to rifle home the rebound for his first goal for the club. James McLean came closest to levelling for Derry on 63 minutes, but Blues' Chris Konopka saved his inswinging cross-shot. |
