An Alan Carey penalty and a second goal from Vinny Sullivan maintained Waterford’s one hundred percent record as the beat Cork City on their home debut before a crowd of 4,400. Carey slotted home a 28th minute penalty after Sullivan had been pulled down by Eoin Forde. Sullivan then sealed the points for Waterford on 62 minutes when volleying home John Kearney’s cross. Cork finished with ten men when assistant player/manager Greg O’Halloran was sent off six minute from time for clashing with David Grincell. |
