New Limerick boss Pat Scully is still awaiting his first goal since taking charge after his side failed to score for the second week running.

The first real chance fell to Monaghan in the 73rd minute when Darren McKenna met Karl Bermingham’s cross to plant a header off a post.

Limerick then might have won it in stoppage time but for a stunning save by Brendan Kennedy from a Jamie Wunsch header.
