Limerick bounced back from their defeat at UCD last week to trounce newboys Mervue at Jackman Park.

Brian O’Callaghan fired Limerick in front on 22 minutes and they never looked back once John Tierney added a second eight minutes before the break.

Jamie Wunch sealed the three points with a third goal six minutes into the second half.

Rynal Browne pulled a goal back for Mervue just past the hour mark, but Paul Walsh restored Limerick’s three goal winning margin when converting a penalty on 73 minutes.
