Wexford Youths 0-0 Mervue United
Saturday, 07 November 2009 21:51
Mervue United goalkeeper Eoin Martin was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm as the sides settled for a point at Ferrycarrig Park.

Martin landed heavily after clearing a long ball in a race with Youths' striker Gary Sheahan on 28 minutes.

Mervue then wasted the chance of the match seven minutes later when Kevin Crehan missed the proverbial sitter after Mike Tierney flicked on Rory Gaffney’s cross.

Youths almost snatched victory at the death but Danny Furlong’s goal in added time was disallowed for a foul.
