Shelbourne will host Sporting Fingal in the First Division play off after a facile win over Kildare County who confirmed after the match they have folded as a club to end their seven year membership of the league.

Kildare manager Joe Somerville resigned on Friday while players only came out to warm up ten minutes before kick off following negotiations with PFAI general secretary Stephen McGuinness in relation to owed wages.

David McAllister delightfully chipped over Darren Kelly to put Shels in front on 13 minutes with his 15th goal of the season.

David Cassidy added the second on 28 minutes when tapping home Stephen Quigley’s cross from the right.

Anto Flood headed home the third on 40 minutes from McGill’s corner.

County got a goal back through Trevor Bowers on 68 minutes before substitute Tony Griffiths added Shels fourth with a looping header five minutes later.

Griffiths then crossed for McGill to chip home to make it 5-1 eleven minutes from time.
