FAI Ford Cup finalists Sporting Fingal kept their foot on the gas as they scored four times once more to move above Shelbourne into second place.

 

Three goals in seven first half minutes had Sporting in command.

 

Gary O'Neill put them in front on 17 minutes with Conan Byrne, with his 25th of the season, and Eamon Zayed rowing in quickly aftrerwards to end the game as a contest.

 

Mark Ludden got a goal back for Mervue on 58 minutes. But rigth-back Colm James restored Sporting's three goal lead on 74 minutes.
