A stunning goal from Gary Curran earned Longford the points at Terryland Park to lift Gareth Cronin's midlanders to ninth place. Curran struck on 31 minutes when he collected the ball in midfielder and let go with a brilliant, curling shot that flew past Eoin Maritn in the Mervue goal. Mervue striker David Goldbey had a goal ruled out for offside minutes later while Pat Hoban came close late on as Longford held out for a second successive win. |
