Kildare County 2 Sporting Fingal 3

Alan Kirby was Sporting Fingal's hero once again with a late winner as they came from 2-0 down to beat bottom side Kildare at Station Road.

Goals from Philip Hughes, on the half hour, and Liam Tiernan, six minutes into the second half, had County on course for an unlikely win.

But Gary O’Neill began the revival within two minutes before winger Conan Byrne levelled on 71 minutes.

Kirby, having hit both goals in their cup win at Shamrock Rovers midweek, then came up trumps again with the winner eight minutes from time to move Sporting up to second in the table.
