| Wexford Youths 0-0 Waterford United |
| Friday, 04 September 2009 12:12 |
|
Michael Devine had to come to Waterford's rescue in the southeast derby with three terrific stops as Blues' promotion challenge faltered and they drew a blank for the third match running  Waterford had the better of the first half with efforts from Graham Cummins and then John Kearney, who brought a good stop from Packie Holden, coming close.  But Youths were the better side in the second half and Devine had to save well from Jimmy Keohane, twice, and from former Blues' defender David Breen's header. |
