Monaghan stretched their unbeaten run to six games as they inflicted the heaviest home defeat of the season on Longford. Â After a scoreless first half, Barry Clancey shot home the opener from the edge of the area on the hour mark. Â Clancy then provided the cross for Karl Bermingham to double Monahan's lead on 76 minutes. Â Darragh Hanaphy headed a third goal four minutes later before Town got one back through Darren McKenna on 85 minutes. Â But in-form Monaghan had the final say when Cathal O'Connor added their fourth goal two minutes later. |
