| UCD 2-1 Limerick |
| Friday, 28 August 2009 11:16 |
|
UCD took full advantage of leaders Shelbourne's home defeat to close the gap at the top to two points as Chris Mulhall proved an inspired substitution as they came from behind at the UCD Bowl. Â Limerick responded to their 4-1 tanking at home to Longford last week by taking the lead within six minutes. Â Recent signing Daryl Kavanagh worked a one-two with Dave Ryan to fire past College keeper Billy Brennan from 20 yards. Â UCD hit back on 51 minutes when substitute Mulhall's free-kick wasn't cleared and David McMillan, their match winner in Waterford last week, shot home. Â Mulhall then won it for UCD on 62 minutes with a long-range effort that took a deflection. |
