Shelbourne 2-0 Kildare County
Friday, 21 August 2009 10:09

Late goals from David McAllister and Tony Griffiths gave Shelbourne victory over bottom side Kildare County to move them six points clear at the top of the First Division table over night.

Shels are now unbeaten in 15 games, but they made hard work of seeing off a rejuvenated County at Tolka Park.

Midfielder McAllister finally broke County's resolve when shooting home his fifth goal in the last five games - and eighth for the season - on 74 minutes.

New signing Griffiths added the second two minutes from time when heading home David Crawley's free-kick.
