Three goals in six minutes earned bottom-of-the-table Kildare their second win of the season to stun fifth-placed Youths at Ferrycarrig Park.

Experienced striker Philly Hughes was Youths’ undoing, bursting through to shoot past Pa Doyle for the opening on 56 minutes.

Trevor Bowers added the second on 61 minutes when lobbing the poorly positioned Doyle.

Hughes got his second a minute later with a terrific 40 yard effort.
