Gary O’Neill’s first goal for Sporting Fingal eased them back to winning ways and back up to third place in the First Division table.
Town defender Stephen Gough turned a cross from Shaun Williams into his own net to gift Sporting a 48th minute lead.

O’Neill then finally put an injury-plagued season to bed when shooting to the roof of the net from Conan Byrne’s cross to double the lead on 62 minutes.

Substitute Eamon Zayed added a third goal two minutes into stoppage time when rounding Town keeper Danny O’Leary to slide the ball home after Robert Bayly had played him through on goal.
