| Limerick 2-0 Wexford Youths |
| Friday, 10 July 2009 09:24 |
|
Pat Scully's Shannonsiders overcame their goal-shyness to stop the rot of two defeats to beat fifth-placed Youths at Jackman Park. Limerick effectively won the game inside half an hour with Brian O’Callaghan opening the scoring after ten minutes. A penalty from Shane Tracey 14 minutes later doubled their lead and Limerick never looked back as they earned only their second win in six games.
