Bohemians were defeated in their first preseason friendly by Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow. Killian Brennan scored from the penalty spot after Joseph Ndo was taken down to give the Dubliners the lead. On the hour mark, Fenlon rang the changes and made several substitutions. The Moscovites took advantage of the personnel changes to score two goals before time elapsed and they claimed a hardfought victory. Bohemians' manager was satisfied with his side's performance. He said,"I am very pleased with the way we played. We had a three hour journey to get here today and following the delays we experienced in Dublin Airport, I think we did very well. Lokomotiv had already played five friendly matches before today so we were a good deal behind them in our preparations. They were a very good side with five international players and we pushed them all the way". Having taken the lead, the defeat will come as a disappointment for Bohemians. However, considering the opposition and the fact that it was the team's first outing of the season, the result can be seen in a very positive light |
