Monaghan United recorded their biggest away win of the season when trouncing Mervue at Terryland Park. In-from Barry Clancy sent Monaghan on their way after two minutes with Dave Freeman scoring twice, on 11 and 40 minutes. In between, Kark Bermingham got in on the act as Monaghan trooped off 4-0 up at the break. Rory Gaffney got a goal back for Mervue on 65 minutes before veteran defender Aidan Lynch restored Monaghan’s four goal winning margin with their final strike on 73 minutes. |
