Finn Harps 2-1 Kildare County

Skipper Conor Gethins was Finn Harps' hero with a brace to give them their first win in nine games - and only their second of the season.

Topscorer Gethins put Harps in front just past the half hour mark, volleying home from Sean Housten's pass.

Gethins was credited with Harps' second goal on 75 minutes when Paddy Bonner's shot deflected off him to beat Kevin McDonnell in the County goal.

Gavin Kinsella gave bottom-of-the-table County hope with a goal back four minutes later, but Harps held out for a much needed victory.
