Mervue twice came from behind at Lissywoollen to earn only their second point in five games.

 

Kevin Williamson sidefooted home Robbie Hamm's cross to give Athlone an 18th minute lead.

 

Mervue hit back to level within six minutes when Damian O'Rourke shot home after Eric Browne flicked on an Alex Lee corner.

 

Ciaran Reilly restored Town's lead on 69 minutes with a fine header from Noel McGee's right wing cross as they looked on course for a first win in five games.

 

But David Goldbey hit back to earn Mervue their point when heading home substitute Rory Gaffney's cross six minutes from time.
