Friday, 22 May 2009 12:29

Goals late in each half from Darren McKenna and Stephen McCrossan gave Monaghan their fourth win in an unbeaten five-match run.

Aidan Lynch set up striker McKenna to shoot past Anthony Fennelly for the opening goal on 42 minutes.

Longford had defender Ray Kenny sent off on 80 minutes for dissent towards referee Paul Caschera.

Three minutes from time Monaghan added their second goal. Fennelly could only parry a shot from David Freeman and McCrossan tapped home the rebound.
