Sporting Fingal 1-4 Waterford United

Willy John Kiely scored twice as ten man Waterford stormed to the top of the First Division table with a stunning win at Morton Stadium.

Sporting took just 36 seconds to take the lead. Colm James' quick free-kick sent Conan Byrne away down the right and his cross was fired home by Eamon Zayed, back after a two match injury absence.

But in-form Blues hit back to level on 15 minutes. Kiely collected Seamus Long's diagonal ball to get between two defenders and put a volley into the top corner of Darren Quigley's net.

Six minutes before the break Blues went in front when Graham Cummins headed home Kevin Waters' cross.

The action continued apace into the second half with Kenny Browne tapping home to put Blues 3-1 up on 72 minutes.

Blues then had Long sent off three minutes later for pulling down Alan Kirby.

But Kiely got his second of the night to seal it within a further two minutes, flicking past Quigley after Cummins had won a header.
