Friday, 15 May 2009 09:52

Paul Cummins sealed Limerick's first win in four games as Longford lost at home for the third match running.

Thomas Lyons headed home Martin Deady's 15th minute corner to give Limerick the lead.

Town levelled two minutes into the second half when Liam Lynch finished off Jason McCartney's cross.

But Dave Ryan restored Limerick's lead on 84 minutes, punishing poor defending from another Deady corner.

Cummins then secured the three points on 90 minutes when racing clear to shoot past Anthony Fennelly.

A diving header from Adrian Murphy gave Town a consolation goal in stoppage time.
