Paddy Madden was the Shelbourne hero with two second half goals as they had to come from 2-0 to salvage a point down at home to lowly Longford Town. Jason McCartney put Town in front from Darragh Concannon’s pass on 25 minutes. Town stunned Shels further when Derek Glynn doubled their lead on the counterattack on 56 minutes. But Shels stormed back into the game with Madden heading home substitute Derek Doyle’ cross on 71 minutes. Madden then gave Shels no more than their second half dominance deserved when he headed home the equaliser from a right wing cross four minutes from time. |
