Willie John Kiely scored twice as Waterford United beat leaders Derry City for a second time this season at the RSC.

The 2-0 win for Blues reduces Derry lead at the top to just four points and gets Stephen Henderson's side right back in the title race after three straight wins.

Kiely struck to put third-placed  Waterford, who beat Derry 1-0 at the same venue back in March, ahead after 42 minutes, rifling home after being played through on goal by Timmy Purcell.

If that was good, Kiely's second was sublime as he ran onto Paul Carey's pass to score with a 30-yard drive.
