A quick fire doubled in the first half ensured Monaghan of a fifth place finish in the First Division as they ended their season with a sixth win on the spin.

Stephen McCrossan put them in front on 27 minutes with Karl Bermingham, with his sixth goal in four games, adding the second nine minutes later.

Defender Paul Whelan hit a third goal 12 minutes into the second half to seal the points.
