Stephen Kenny is regarded as one of Ireland's top managers and replaced Michael O'Neill as Rovers boss in December 2011.
The Tallaght native began his Airtricity League managerial career at the age of just 27 - making him the youngest manager in the League's history - when he took over at Longford Town in 1998.
Kenny led the Midlanders to promotion and also to the FAI Ford Cup Final in 2000 and from there he was snapped up by Bohemians. Kenny led Bohs to the 2002 league title and the FAI Ford Cup Final the same year.
After leaving the Gypsies he moved to Derry City in 2004 and led the Candystripes to two League Cup successed and to the 2006 FAI Ford Cup before he was snapped up by Scottish club Dunfermline. He led the Pars to the Scottish Cup Final in 2007 before returning to Derry City in December that year.
After Derry suffered financial irregularities and were relegated, Kenny led City to the First Division title in 2010 and to a fourth League Cup success when they beat Cork City in the EA SPORTS Cup Final in September 2011.
