Saturday, 13 June 2009 22:38

Vinny Faherty scored twice as Galway eased past ten man Harps at Ballybofey..

Faherty headed Galway in front on 16 minutes from Iarfhlaith Davoren's cross.

Harps' hopes suffered a further blow when midfielder Michael Funston was sent off on the half hour for retaliating to a foul by John Russell.

Galway then scored twice inside a minute early in the second half to seal their win.

Faherty got his second on 50 minutes with skipper Jay O'Shea adding the third.
