| Seagulls and Candystripes meet in Ford Cup replay |
|
Bray Wanderers take on Derry City in their FAI Ford Cup Third Round replay at Carlisle Grounds tonight. Having recorded a scoreless draw at home to Shamrock Rovers last Friday night, the Seagulls will be hoping that they can keep their defence tight against the First Division league leaders. “A draw was probably a fair result from the first game,” said Bray manager Eddie Gormley of the original third round fixture. “It’s going to be a difficult night for us. They have a top side – a Premier side, in my opinion. “But we can take great confidence from our draw with Shamrock Rovers last Friday. It’s on our turf. Hopefully we can make the Carlisle a fortress for the rest of the season.” Dane Massey and Robbie Doyle return from suspension for the home side, while visitors Derry City have striker Mark Farren suspended. |
