Bohs look to protect lead

Bohemians travel to Windsor Park tonight for the second leg of their Setanta Sports Cup semi-final against Linfield looking to protect a 2-1 lead from the first leg.

First leg goals from Ken Oman and Raffaele Cretaro give the Gypsies a slender lead going into tonight’s crucial encounter. The winners of tonight’s match will face St. Patrick’s Athletic in the Setanta Sports Cup final.

Mark Rossiter (hamstring) and Anto Murphy (Achilles) are both ruled out, as are the cup tied Gareth McGlynn, Steven Gray and Ruaidhri Higgins. Having suffered consecutive Airtricity League defeats to Shamrock Rovers and Galway United, Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon will be looking for a big performance from his players.

“We have got to defend better,” said Fenlon. “It's a hard place to go and win. We're a goal up but we're going to have to play a lot better than we did against Galway if we're to get anything out of it.”

Linfield go into the match full of confidence. Having defeated Coleraine last weekend, the Blues are just one win away from reclaiming the Carling Premiership title. Victory over Bohemians would move them one step closer to getting their hands on the Setanta Sports Cup, a competition they last won in 2005.
